SOLTRAIN PRODUCTION PROTOTYPE
A world renowned transportation prototype development company, Powers Design International, has agreed to begin engineering designs of the SolTrain production prototype once we supply them with a retainer. SMB is currently awaiting information about several grants that we have submitted and is working to submit more grant proposals - to obtain the money for a retainer. SMB is also seeking private investors to joint venture with the SolTrain project.

What's Happening In 2004? Santa Cruz City Council adds SolTrain to their transportation "wish list" on Jan 20, 2004! City of Marina and local developers are studying the SolTrain for their Ft Ord redevelopment plans
SolTrain Testing We are working on obtaining permission to use the railroad tracks on the former Fort Ord in Marina to further test the SolTrain proof of concept. Our soltrain proposal will be in Feb 2004 to the Marina City Council. Transit ecoVillages We are currently looking for opportunity sites to build a small 3-6 unit ecovillage. We will begin public outreach to look for possible residents beginning in the winter of 2004
